For the Kompo service, the public is able to obtain airtime by buying refill cards from Gamcel’s outlets nationwide and other resellers’ outlets.

The service includes a connection fee of just D300.00, which includes an initial credit of D50.00 and scratch cards of various values to refill the SIM card.

In an effort to make the service easily affordable to the Civil service, Gamcel embarked on a Hire Purchase scheme in November 2001 thus making the service available to them all.
